“Companies will need to quickly adopt a mobile strategy that fits their own set of business use cases in order to keep up with how customers are making purchases.”

Absolutely. If companies don’t respond to how their customers want to make purchases, or browse a product line, or otherwise interact with a brand, their customers will find a company that will.

Great article. Very interesting to hear these research results and the insight from leading business thinkers. Andy McAfee is always excellent : “analog companies eventually are going to get swept aside by digital companies…” The linked report is very interesting also – “40 percent of the companies envision a radical digital transformation” – that’s huge when you are talking about billion-dollar businesses. We are looking forward to some great conversations in 2012 – bring it on!
