Last week, I gave a talk at the Pitney Bowes Data Day conference on “Big Data and Intelligent Platforms”. It is based on the Intelligent Platform idea I have been promoting in this blog. It is my argument that today PaaS solution are not well prepared for the data driven world and we need intelligent platforms to develop self organizing intelligent apps. Pitney Bowes is an enterprise which is focussing big on data and they ran this event for their global staff and partners. I used this presentation to test my idea for next generation platforms in front of practitioners of big data and the reception was positive with a strong agreement about the need to go beyond today’s PaaS.
