If you look at TechMeme, you might think that Ashton Kutcher’s Twitter victory (twitory?) over CNN is the day’s most important news, second only to the Pirate Bay Founders prison sentence.
It’s the usual blog-pile in: everyone feels they have be seen on TechMeme, but there’s not much they can add to the story. Well, there is something they are missing, and I’m really surprised how this “insignificant” little step escaped attention:

Circus or not, THAT was worth it.
Update: As kevin points out below in a comment, several other offers to donate arrived, including Oprah, CNN (was it CNN or Ted Turner or both?), Ryan Secrest..etc – totaling at least $600,00. Now I wonder if the next 1M target can be set: $1 Million in donations.
