    i am confused by your posts. on one hand you say the future of cloud is heterogenous and also recently talked about federated paas. now you are arguing that choice is bad. i think you should be consistent in what you want to say.

    The idea of cloud specific access to data and workloads where location is as important – if not more important than the resources allocated to them – resonates. This is an excellent point. The rampant under-utilization of the cloud, see http://bit.ly/QskNIU (less than 2% for large # of instances) will be even more difficult to control, if we let a user write its own “prescriptions”, so too speak.
