I’m stoked to have received confirmation that both Zoli and I will be attending the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco at the start of April. I’m also one of the blog partners (and in a double feat, so is Zoli) and we will be taking part in a bloggers roundtable with some guy called Tim (yes, that was a joke, it’ll be hosted by Tim O’Reilly, patron saint of the O’Reilly media empire). According to the organisers own definition;
Web 2.0 Expo is a semi-annual conference and expo targeting the builders of the next generation web: designers, developers, entrepreneurs, marketers, business strategists, and venture capitalists from around the globe.Web 2.0 Expo features the most innovative and successful Internet industry figures and companies providing attendees with examples of business models, development paradigms, and design strategies to enable mainstream businesses and new arrivals to the Web 2.0 world to take advantage of this new generation of services and opportunities.
I’m a Web 2.0 Expo newbie, in fact I’m a newcomer to all of O’Reilly’s events, but the schedule looks fantastic, the expo looks exciting and no doubt there will be plenty of the best schwag in the land!
Check out the official Web 2.0 expo blog or the Web 2.0 Expo crew on Twitter.
And as an added bonus to our readers, we’re offering a complimentary pass to the Web 2.0 event (both the conference and the workshops) – entry is simple – fill in our contact form with a brief explanation of why we should give you a free pass – we’ll pick the most creative, entertaining or otherwise exceptional entry and a free pass will be winging its way to you (electronically of course) quick smart.
As well as that (as if that wasn’t enough) those attending can enter code “websf09tro24” at registration for a 35% discount on whichever ticket you’re purchasing. Sweet
Looking forward to seeing some of you there, and watch out for live tweets and posts from the event.
thanks for the post! we’re excited to have you joining us from so far away at Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco this year!!
