Webstock is a Wellington, New Zealand conference that describes itself as;
5 full-on days. 8 hands-on workshops. 23 kick ass speakers. 26 must see presentations. Truckloads of design, development, user experience, web standards, content, community, innovation and inspiration
It has attracted a pretty rabid following (at least in our neck of the woods) for it’s fun, informal nature and the quality of presenters it attracts. From Browser guru Ben Goodger to Django co-creator Adrian Holovaty. From Flickr community manager Heather Champ to Dopplr CTO Matt Biddulph – the attractiveness of a summer sojourn in New Zealand’s most beautiful city gets some big names on board.
I’ll be attending Webstock and will be extensively blogging it for those unable to make the event in person – but if you’re anywhere near New Zealand in the middle of February, or sufficiently resourced to be able to make the trip, I’d encourage you to do so!
