    Great article Jason! I feel the same way about retention. For the life of me, I can’t understand why employers don’t put more of an emphasis in this area. It’s like they figure, “ok we got them here that’s good enough.” It makes no sense. You could compare it to a company signing up a new customer and then basically forgetting about them once they’re signed up. Just saying it sounds asinine but unfortunately that’s the stance some organizations take.

    It’s natural … especially as founders and CEOs, we focus on the next hill. And we underinvest in what we have (customers, existing team) and overinvest, on a relative basis, in the next new thing we have to get done to grow.
