    Managing kids is hard, especially because it’s impossible to deal effectively without bringing in all the emotional baggage.

    Children find the idea of working hard pretty unappealing. What worked for me is convincing them they have certain disadvantages, e.g. don’t like being out in the sun, or getting dirty, and the easiest option for them is focus and work hard on their strengths (school).
