Jitterbit (See previous CloudAve coverage), Oakland based integration provider, announced the availability of Jitterbit Connect for Salesforce so that organizations can seamlessly connect their data with Salesforce. I have been talking to some enterprise folks and every one of them is quite convinced about the value offered by Salesforce. By offering an easy way to connect data inside the organization with Salesforce, Jitterbit is making it easy for their customers to work with Salesforce.
What is Jitterbit?
Jitterbit offers both appliance based downloadable and cloud based integration solutions to enterprises of all sizes. I got interested in Jitterbit because they also offer their platform under one of the open source licenses.
Jitterbit is an Oakland based integration services company, took the open source approach to enterprise level integration in a market crowded with proprietary vendors. Released under a amended version of Mozilla license called Jitterbit Public License, Jitterbit makes money using the subscription model like many other open source companies.
Initially, their solution was on-premise and they offered an Amazon cloud based solution in June at a lower cost, targeting SMEs. Their solution allows organizations to integrate legacy applications with other enterprise applications and SaaS applications in a seamless way.
Jitterbit Connect For Salesforce
Jitterbit Connect for Salesforce is a wizard based integration tool built into Jitterbit Enterprise Edition which will allow organizations to connect their CRM data with other on-premise and cloud systems. Jitterbit Connect for Salesforce supports bi-directional data integration through the Salesforce Web Services API, including both queries and upserts.
The graphical interface will allow even non-technical users to connect, transform, and transport data to and from salesforce.com with just a point and click method.
Some of the features of Jitterbit Connect for Salesforce include
- A graphical Query Builder which lets users create complex Salesforce Web Services queries with just a few mouse clicks
- An Instant Filter to quickly search for Salesforce data fields resulting in tremendous productivity gains
- An Automapper which lets Jitterbit intelligently recommend and automatically map data between similar field types in your source and target systems
- A Project Creator which automatically creates and builds project once the user configures the integration with the help of wizard
Conclusion
The ease with which users in an organization could integrate their applications with SaaS and other cloud applications will not only make the organization be more agile and save cost, integration solutions Jitterbit and others will also go a long way in increasing enterprise adoption of SaaS.
