It is the New Year, and part of my new year’s resolution is to plug my book “Boom and Bust in the Blogosphere.” The goal is to give away seven copies of the book in return for an Amazon review of the book. Here is what you have to do.
I believe in people being honest – so I am going to value an honest opinion, if you decide to take me up on the offer I want a good honest review of the book to be posted to Amazon.
I will send you one free copy dead tree copy of my book to the address you give me (email me at rmorrill (AT) gmail.com with the subject line – I want my free dead tree product to review). That is all you have to do to get a free dead tree copy of the book.
Once you have it – I would like you to write an Amazon review on the book’s Amazon page – right here – and tell the world what you think.
With the book being self published – it is sometimes difficult to get traction on getting attention, and thinking that a free copy of the book in return for a review on Amazon can’t hurt the process. Self Publishing is an interesting process, and what really amuses me is that the book has been downloaded now more than 5000 times, but has sold very few copies. Of course I would like to sell more copies (any author would like that), and working on some novel ways of gaining attention. The cool part is that the book has been downloaded more than 5000 times now – but outside of that has gained little in terms of participation or comments back.
That is the offer – one free dead tree product (I’ll even sign it) for a review on Amazon. Drop me a note and the first seven responses will get the copy of the book. I am going to try other things as well to see about generating interest in the book, but this is my first step.
