I met with Canadian vendor Oprius' CEO Allan Smith at the recent Office 2.0 conference. I'm always keen to review products from outside of the US - not because I'm anti-US but because a remote location often gives a different "spin" to the ideas coming out of other countries.

Oprius provides an online productivity tool for sales professionals - rather than taking a broad product approach towards CRM, Oprius have preferred a narrow and deep strategy - concentrating on contact management functionality - arguable the key area for sales professionals. Sales success is about building deep networks - Oprius helps with this aim - being the friendly reminder watching over your shoulder.

It's an intuitive and easy to use and is strongly focused on dong it's job in an exemplary manner without including a host of other features - a great example of the narrow and deep product strategy.
