In recent announcement, Planet Metrics, provider of a web-based Rapid Carbon Modeling (RCM) SaaS solution has released its beta version. A new alliance was formed between Mimecast, an email management company offering SaaS-based email archiving, continuity, security and policy control along with Cable&Wireless Worldwide, one of the world’s leading communication companies. Under this partnership, Cable&Wireless has integrated the Mimecast service to complement its current hosted Microsoft Exchange offering. “The timing of the approach was perfect as Mimecast was seeking a partner that could provide a solid, fully hosted Exchange environment, a requirement that has been frequently requested by our enterprise prospects and clients.” said Julian Martin, Business Development Director at Mimecast.

Evergreen Systems Announces Evergreen-Delivered HP SaaS.

Evergreen Systems announced its offer of Evergreen-delivered HP Service Manager on SaaS. The offer combines Evergreen Systems' technical design, configuration and deliverables with HP Service Manager on SaaS. Evergreen's CEO Don Casson commented, "This approach allows clients the best of both worlds, which combines Evergreen design and delivery with HP project management, operations and worldwide infrastructure. Symantec Goes SaaS With IM Security.

Symantec has announced the launch of a new instant messaging security, management and compliance SaaS offering designed to work with three of the major public IM networks. This adds Instant Messaging Security Service to Symantec’s MessageLabs, leading business security services. It targets IM traffic from AIM, Yahoo! and MSN, giving it coverage of about 80 percent of the IM services in use on corporate networks.
