Webroot Debuts Web, E-Mail and Data Security with SAAS Release

Webroot has announced the release of Webroot Web Security SaaS along with enhancements including Web browsing quotas to enforce Internet use policies and a new Webroot Email Encryption Service. Webroot’s general manager of SAAS, Don Beck, said with the continued growth in volume and maliciousness of Web threats, businesses today require more robust functionality to manage Web security as well as employee Internet use. "For e-mail security, e-mail encryption is becoming required by law. Organizations are increasingly faced with legal, regulatory and compliance requirements,” he said. “Our new Web and Email Security services address these concerns, block threats in the cloud and keep malware off the network."

According to reports Pivotlink has announced that it has been selected by IT research and advisory services firm Burton Group for the single sign-on interoperability event during its Catalyst Conference North America 2009 on July 29, 2009 in San Diego, California. "SaaS and cloud-based applications are the trend as utilizing off-premise applications and will continue to be priority for enterprises looking for cost-effective and alternative ways to deploy applications," said Gerry Gebel, vice president and service director at Burton Group. PGI releases new email delivery platform in the cloud

Premiere Global Services has launched PGiCOS email, a web services-based email delivery platform positioned as a SaaS-based alternative for high volume email senders. The new product is said to offer an API that can optimize the transmission of broadcasts and marketing campaigns and handle individual or small batch transactions.
