McAfee expands SaaS domain; buys MX Logic for $170 million news.

In recent news, Security leader McAfee Inc announced the acquisition of Colorado-based MX Logic Inc, a privately held provider of e-mail archiving, continuity and security services, for $170 million. 'The acquisition of MX Logic will reinforce our position as a leader in SaaS and brings world-class e-mail and web defense, including archiving and business continuity services, extending our proven expertise in providing cloud-based services to our customers,'' said Dave DeWalt, president and chief executive officer, McAfee.

Boomi Widgets for SaaS Integration Announced.

Boomi, a vendor of on-demand integration technology, today announced the availability of integration Widgets for SaaS-to-SaaS and SaaS-to-On-premise integration of common business applications. “They're aimed at businesses "with application-specific integration needs, looking to deploy integration Widgets without the burden of coding, data mapping or configuring for firewall issues." said company officials.

SAP Demos Commitment To Business ByDesign.

In recent news, leading security solutions provider Webroot announced the release of Webroot Web Security SAAS and Webroot Email Security SAAS with enhancements including Web browsing quotas to enforce Internet use policies and a new Webroot Email Encryption Service to secure sensitive e-mail communications.“Our new Web and Email Security services address these concerns, block threats in the cloud and keep malware off the network." said Don Beck, GM Webroot.

Ping Identity Teams with Google Enterprise to Deliver Universal Login for SaaS.

Ping Identity, provider of PingConnect, an on-demand Single Sign-On service announced the integration of its service with Google Apps to deliver a universal SaaS login that ties together different SaaS environments by managing user access and authentication in the cloud. “Universal SaaS login via Google Apps, allows users to take full advantage of the benefits of SaaS without the constraints that come with managing user passwords across any number of SaaS platforms. The continued development collaboration between Ping Identity and Google has resulted in another critical identity solution for customers.” said Ping Identity CEO Andre Durand.

Hyland Takes SaaS-based Enterprise CMS Solution to Europe.
