Business Objects Fleshes Out SAAS BI with More Salesforce.com Support.

Business Object, the leader in business intelligence enterprise applications has released a new version of its BI On-Demand software. The new version will have new content creation and development capabilities and will feature accelerator for SaaS CRM with support from Salesforce.com. “Enterprises typically employ a hybrid of on-premises and on-demand applications for their workers, partners and customers. Deriving BI from these disparate data sources is a challenge, so BI OnDemand enables customers to share reports and dashboards that include both on-premises and on-demand data,” said Mani Gill, vice president of Business Objects' OnDemand business.

Almost 90% of security officers support SaaS for mission-critical apps.

In recent survey conducted at the CSO Interchange Event in London, it was discovered that 90% of company security officers (CSOs) will prefer to use SaaS enterprise software for mission critical applications.

Wipro launches pay per use software.

Wipro Infotech, India’s software giant recently announced the launch of Wipro HIS Lite, a hospital information system. The service will be available on the basis of Pay-per use and will allow doctors to maintain patient data efficiently & reduce patient waiting time. Mailguard, the managed security vendor is on the lookout for a value added distributor from New Zealand.
