Regular reader will know that work/life balance is something I’m very protective of. Our industry isn’t known for it’s healthfulness – the number of bloggers in recent years who have burnt out, either physically or mentally, is legion.
In something of a one-man quest to solve this dilemma (or at least help it in some way), I’m in the habit of forming ad-hoc exercise groups wherever I go to conferences – before the Office 2.0 conference in San Francisco last year I made some tongue-in-cheek comments about the obvious lack of fitness of Robert Scoble. Being a good sport Scoble replied telling me of his (long ago) exploits running track in high school.
Anyway – Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco early next month seems like a good opportunity to resurrect the ad-hoc Web 2.0 jogging brigade so here’s an open invitation; anyone attending Web 2.0 who feels like a leisurely 5 – 8 mile run early in the morning on any (or all!) of the conference days just drop me a line – I’ll be staying at the Hotel Whitcomb and am always keen on new running partners!
