Good, another provoking article after your sweet XML+SOAP bashing from a while ago :-]

Cloud / SaaS apps have their merits, but no real enterprise app is an island and as such they bring the usual integration challenges. Which often goes unmentioned and unreported. Questions like how do you integrate between Cloud / SaaS apps and from the Cloud to your internal apps.

Uploading users from the enterprise directory to Cloud / SaaS apps is one such problem. I noticed that with one of my products, Json2Ldap, which was initially conceived as an LDAP gateway/proxy to allow directory access from the web (e.g. browsers), but people now suddenly found a new use for it – as a web API for synchronising user accounts.

Another problem I found was auditing what your users do in the SaaS / Cloud apps and getting this data into your enterprise.
