    isn’t this exactly what the GE “differentiation” approach is in real life? during my time at GE that was actually something more *honest* than in other companies

    you knew exactly that you *must be* among the 10-15% of top talent to move up the ladder, while beeing 2 times down with the poor dogs meant something is really wrong with you
