The HTC EVO Android phone is the ultimate weapon that’ supposed to turn Sprint’s weak business around. Yes, the phone is really incredible (not Incredible, that’s another model), but that does not change the fact that Spring is welcoming it with utter failure. Customers attempting to buy it get to stare at this message forever:
It’s not exactly a happy screen to look at during various stages of the checkout process, but is outright chilling at the last step, after providing credit card information when your card is supposed to get charged. Will you get double – triple- charged at future attempts? Only Sprint knows (if they do..)
Way to Launch, Sprint. 🙁
Update:
It’s a multi-channel communication failure:
- Web ordering system dead, no way telling if charges went through
- Phones do not get answered
- Online chat down
