Remember the school district that spied on students (and their families) in their home, using remotely controlled laptop cameras? The Feds found it was OK…or at least not criminal. The AP reports:
U.S. Attorney Zane David Memeger says investigators have found no evidence of criminal intent by Lower Merion School District employees who activated tracking software that took thousands of webcam and screenshot images on school-provided laptops.
Yeah, right. There was no criminal intent, those damned cameras accidentally turned themselves on and amassed 56,000 images invading their victims privacy.
(Un)related news: Blago only found guilty in 1 of the 24 charges, the one about lying to the FBI. Wow.
Justice prevails. Sometimes.
