    I feel your pain! To your 1st point – Why don’t PR folks use CRM (or use it properly)? We certainly don’t want to make mistakes like the above. I am convinced that there has to be some underlying reason. Perhaps it’s just a vestige of an evolving industry – we’re out of the rolodex age, but haven’t made it out of the disconnected online database phase…

    On point #2, that seems to be just plain old bad taste and a myopic view of media relations. What about partnering with the media and vendor for mutually beneficial outcomes – is that really so hard?
