Every year, when we get depressed about the darkness that is going to engulf many of us on the northern side of the country after the Daylight Savings time change, the only thing that keep our spirits up is the upcoming Defrag Conference. No this is not a hyperbole but a fact which many of the previous years’ Defrag attendees will attest. Last year’s Defrag conference was my first and it was a great experience for me. I know that many of CloudAve readers are gearing up for the conference next month but there may be some who want to attend but could not afford the conference fees in this gloomy weather economy. There is some good news for you.
Eric Norlin, the guy behind Defrag conference, has stepped in to offer three free tickets (each ticket is worth $1500) to CloudAve readers who want to attend Defrag this year. The first three who contact us by showing their interest in the comments below or through email will get the tickets. This offer only gives free access to the conference and you are responsible for travel and lodging arrangements. If you want a free ticket, jump in and add your comment.
BTW, when you are there in Colorado attending the Defrag event, don’t forget to attend the Technology4Good Barcamp organized by Ben Kepes, CloudAve’s ex-editor. He has done a great job putting together an event that will have discussion about how technology can be leveraged for social good. Try to take some time to attend the event. You can register for the event here.
By the way, this year’s Defrag has a cool track run by the folks at Enterprise Irregulars. There are some interesting talk by EI members on topics related to Social Computing and business. When you are there attending Defrag, make sure you attend the EI track too.
Have fun attending Defrag and I am sure you will come out of the event excited about how social computing is reshaping the landscape.
Update: Eric, Defrag’s organizer has graciously expanded his offer to 5 free passes, which we have given out. Everyone else, please use discount code cloudave1 to get 15% off at registration.

I’d love a comp ticket to Defrag! Keep up the great work.
You know I’d love to come , could even speak (grin;)) but I’m not sure it is in the cards logistically..
I’ve been wanting to go since you blogged about it a few weeks ago! I’ll admit, I started reading Cloud Ave for a tech client I work on, but quickly became a personal fan and often giggle to myself when big news outlets like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal pick up stories days or weeks after you write about them here. Anyway, I’m an aspiring tech wiz and think the work you guys do is fascinating.
I’d be super thrilled to attend Defrag thanks to Cloud Ave.

Never say never. Or too late:-) Check your email…
I’d love to go to Defrag if there are tickets left (it was great last year)!

Thought it would be a good season (& never too late) to say: Keep up your data rich blogging, Krish!
Thanks. You are in waiting list # 1 :-). If any one of the people who responded earlier drop out, the ticket will be yours.
